Abstract

Introduction. Digitalization of business processes is the introduction of digital technologies in all areas of the enterprise's activity, which allows optimizing and automating business processes, improving communication with customers and partners, ensuring transparency and data security, increasing productivity and competitiveness. The purpose of the study is to identify trends and actualize the problems of business digitalization development in the context of modern challenges. Methods. The study uses general scientific methods, in particular analysis and synthesis, and special methods, in particular statistical research. Results. The level of digitalization of business entities in the world, Ukraine and Zhytomyr region is gradually increasing. However, this process occurs unevenly. According to the global digital competitiveness rating in 2020, Ukraine ranked 57th out of 63 countries, which indicates a low level of digitalization of the economy. In practice, the digitalization process of regional small businesses in Ukraine is gradual and only about 10% of participants are fully covered by it, while 90% of market operators partially implement it. In high-income countries, the level of digitalization is significantly higher than in low-and middle-income countries. In Ukraine, the level of digitalization of business entities is gradually increasing, but it is still lower than in advanced economies. To increase the level of digitalization of business entities in Ukraine, it is necessary to implement state support programs, as well as create conditions for the development of digital infrastructure. Conclusion. Digitalization as an innovative strategy for the development of entrepreneurship helps to adapt to changes, meet the needs and expectations of consumers, and use new opportunities for development and growth. Studying the experience of small business. It is identify the main aspects of digitalization processes, as well as to study the processes that affect the improvement of work. It is established that now business structures are actively implementing the digitalization system in full or, mainly, in part, taking into account both its positive and negative consequences.
