FINANCIAL STABILITY OF AN ENTERPRISE AS A COMPONENT OF THE ECONOMIC SECURITY OF A BUSINESS ENTITY

Abstract

Introduction: The economic security of an enterprise is a fundamental condition for its stable functioning and development in today’s dynamic environment. In the context of military aggression, ensuring economic security becomes more than just a management task-it becomes a strategic necessity. Therefore, an effective internal policy of the enterprise must be aimed at creating conditions that allow it to withstand risks, adapt to external challenges, and maintain competitiveness. Purpose: To reveal the essence of financial stability and financial security, and to investigate the relationship between them; to analyze key threats to the economic security of business entities in modern conditions; and to propose measures to improve the financial stability and economic security of the enterprise. Methods: This article utilies general scientific research methods. Specifically, methods of induction and dedzuction, systemic and functional approaches, as well as analysis and synthesis, were applied. Results: The essence of financial stability and the financial security of an enterprise is revealed. The relationship between them is analyzed, noting that the effectiveness of the interaction and mutual influence of financial stability and security is reflected in the enterprise's financial flexibility. This flexibility is based on the ability to change the volume and structure of financing sources, as well as the directions of financial resource investment, under the influence of risks, threats, and hazards from both internal and external environments. It is proven that the economic security of an enterprise largely depends on the financial component and stability. It is substantiated that financial stability serves as the foundation for enterprise security and the ability to implement development strategies while minimizing the impact of risks and threats. Key threats to the economic security of business entities in modern conditions are analyzed, and measures to enhance financial stability and economic security are proposed. Conclusion: The economic security of business entities is a vital aspect of an effective internal policy, as it ensures stability, competitiveness, and the capacity for development. Enterprises that prioritize this area gain a strategic advantage, as they are able not only to function successfully in unstable conditions but also to utilize changes as opportunities for growth.
