CURRENCY LEGISLATION OF UKRAINE IN THE CONTEXT OF CURRENCY LIBERALIZATION

The article is devoted to modern changes of currency legislation in the context of currency reform in Ukraine. The paper discusses the conceptual principles of legal regulation of monetary relations, which help to build a theoretical model of the eff ective activity of the state in the aspect of its functioning in the monetary sphere. Objective and subjective factors of infl uence on legal regulation of currency relations are investigated. The process of formation of the national monetary system and the current system of currency legislation are analyzed. The stages of formation of the national monetary system are distinguished. Emphasis is placed on the legislatively fi xed category of currency regulation. It is established that the current currency legislation is a set of rules that regulate public relations, which are related to the procedure for conducting transactions with currency values within the country and in relations with foreign states and citizens, as well as the procedure for cross-border movement of foreign currency across the customs border. The principles of currency regulation and their refl ection in the directions of currency liberalization are investigated. Recent changes in currency legislation are being analyzed to ensure further currency liberalization.
