SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS OF SEMEN ABRAMOVYCH KUZNETS: CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF MODERN FINANCIAL SCIENCE

The article carries out a comprehensive historical and economic analysis of the scientific work of Simon (Semen Abramovich) Kuznets with an emphasis on his contribution to the formation of national income measurement systems, the evolution of macro-financial indicators and the formation of an empirically based approach to the study of modern economic growth. The purpose of scientific research is the systematic analysis of scientific concepts of S. Kuznets from the standpoint of modern financial science and substantiating its importance for the study of macro-financial stability, financial policy and income inequality as components of financial science. The article uses the following research methods: deduction, analysis, classification, formalization, evaluation, rating, and others. The methodology of scientific research begins with work with sources devoted to macro-financial indicators. A systematic approach is applied to determine the stages of formation of scientific paradigms, at the macro level, of a scientist-financier and their influence on the development of financial science. Results. It has been proven that the financial dimension of the scientific heritage of S. Kuznetsia is not only about shaping the system of national accounts as the statistical basis of fiscal, monetary and macroprudential policies, but also about creating a methodological framework for analysing the relationship between savings, income distribution, structural shifts and the long-term sustainability of economic development. It is substantiated that the scientific ideas of Semen Kuznets remain relevant in modern studies of financial inequality and the development of distributive national accounts, which combine macroeconomic aggregates with microdata. The originality of scientific research consists in rethinking the importance of implementing a cluster macro-financial analysis of the country's economy based on the identification of the cyclical nature of its functioning and the main factors that affect the effectiveness of the functioning of the country's financial system.
